HRTA Secures Exclusive BullionProtect® Agreement

Indonesian gold producer Hartadinata Abadi Tbk (HRTA) has entered into an exclusive three-year partnership with SICPA-Peruri Securink to enhance the security and authentication of its EMASKU® bullion products.

The partnership builds on a commercial relationship established between the two companies in 2022 (see CMN October 2022). Under the agreement, HRTA becomes the only gold bullion producer in Indonesia authorised by SICPA-Peruri Securink to use BullionProtect®, a security solution combining tamper-evident labelling, product authentication and digital track-and-trace capabilities. The technology is designed to strengthen protection against counterfeiting while enabling verification throughout the distribution chain.

The security image, or seal, is based on SICPA's OASIS®, an ink solution involving liquid crystal pigments, which produces a colour-changing design effect when viewed under a polarising filter. Verification can be made in seconds using a credit-sized validator with two polarising lenses; under one the design turns green and under the other the pattern brightens.
