Orient Mint Announces First Release Date
A new mint has been established in the United Arab Emirates. Orient Mint is the brand name for speciality coins produced for Currency Shelf, a UAE-based currency trading company established in 2025.
Founded by the organiser of The Currency Fair and Mint and Print, Mazen Hamdan, Orient Mint will use 'highly advanced striking techniques and intricate visual security features' to create pieces of metallic artistry bearing the Orient Mint name. Each coin, says the Mint, will carry 'an uncompromised guarantee of authenticity and elite craftsmanship'.
Orient Mint plans to offer highly sophisticated commemorative coins tailored specifically for collectors. Crafted exclusively from pure silver, coin issues will also incorporate sophisticated anti-counterfeiting security features.
Product lines will concentrate on flora and fauna from the Orient in addition to national emblems and symbols celebrating the rich culture and heritage of the region. These features will be applied on 'unusual coin designs', providing a unique offering for customers.
